Modernization involves upgrading key components of an existing lift system — such as control systems, drives, cabin interiors and safety devices — rather than full replacement. It is recommended when a unit is over 20 years old, when breakdown frequency or costs have increased significantly, or when safety compliance is required.

Yes. DLS Elevators stocks a wide range of replacement parts for DLS units as well as those used by many other elevator companies island-wide. Quotations are supplied on request and orders are not subject to minimum quantities. From door locks to landing doors, guide rails to safety gears — any part, anytime, anywhere.

Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, building owners bear responsibility for ensuring their elevators are maintained to legal standards. By signing a maintenance agreement with DLS Elevators, the legal responsibility for maintaining the unit in accordance with the OHS Act can be transferred to DLS.
